    About Mikey Taylor

    Is Mikey Taylor's Course Legit?

    Generated from real user reviews

Commune Capital's Omni Fund offers a credible entry point into California multifamily real estate with a low $5K minimum — rare in private equity. The team brings genuine operational depth, and Mikey Taylor's transparency-first brand is a plus. That said, this is a speculative, illiquid investment. It suits passive investors comfortable with real estate risk, not those seeking a guaranteed return or quick exit.

Commune Capital has cultivated a tight-knit investor community built around Mikey Taylor's public persona as a former pro skater turned wealth builder. The brand leans into relatability and financial empowerment — "real estate for everyone" is central to its messaging. Investors gain access to webinars, an investor portal, and a team with over 25 years of California real estate experience. The community skews toward first-time passive investors inspired by Taylor's story.

    Experience

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE Mikey Taylor's journey to real estate is anything but conventional. He spent nearly two decades as a professional skateboarder, becoming one of the most recognizable names in the sport with sponsorships from DC Shoes, GoPro, and Alien Workshop, over 100 signature skateboard decks, and 7 pro model shoes to his name. He competed at the X Games and built a global personal brand from the ground up — with nothing but a high school diploma and relentless drive. As his skating career wound down, Taylor was already thinking ahead. He co-founded Saint Archer Brewing Company, a San Diego-based craft beer brand that blended skate culture with the booming craft beer industry. The company was acquired by MillerCoors in 2015 for over $35 million, giving Taylor financial freedom at age 33 and his first major proof of concept as an entrepreneur. He didn't stop there. Taylor went on to co-found SOVRN Skateboards and Avni Intelligence, an entrepreneur education platform and podcast. In 2018, he launched Commune Capital, a private equity real estate investment firm focused on California multifamily and commercial properties. The firm now oversees $350 million or more in assets under management, with a team of seasoned operators, a CFA co-president, and a former bank VP running operations. Beyond business, Taylor was elected to the Thousand Oaks City Council and currently serves as Mayor Pro Tem — bringing his community-first values into local government. He is also a husband and father of five, and remains one of the most vocal advocates for financial literacy and the idea that everyday people — not just the wealthy — deserve access to serious investment opportunities.
