I am still rattled about this company. Absolutely refused to give a refund just because a couple of days late requesting it.They would not budge. I explained I am a retired sick and disabled woman.Rory the agent did not give a monkeys . All they want is to take your money.My advice would be if u really do want this course pay on a credit card then u may get a refund through them if u need to!

I joined Digital Course Academy in the Fall of 2022 and have since went on to join Amy's alumni program, Momentum. I'm surprised about the other reviews here, because my experience with learning Amy has all been positive. I originally heard of her after shopping around for a female business owner to learn about course creation from. I joined her List Building Academy program and it was worth the investment. I recouped my nearly $2K investment in DCA in the first launch, and I have gone on have multiple 5-figure course launches. You get out of Amy's programs what you put into them. Her refund policies are clear and she runs a good, honest business. If you look closely at some of the other reviews, it appears they weren't reading the rules when joining or understanding the timeframes of the terms of service / refund policy. Plus, Amy is inspirational and always sharing new knowledge. I highly recommend DCA and Amy's programs to others and will continue to do so.

I just got breathing room to go back and look at them and ... because I didn't download my "lifetime access" videos when she sent the email (that they were going away and I have 6 weeks to download them), I'm just S.O.L. I spent $2,400 on these courses for nothing. Look elsewhere if you don't want to waste your money.

You should know: When it comes to courses, I am cheap. It takes a lot for me to part with a dollar. That said, of all the online marketing materials I've ever purchased, Amy's courses are the only ones I've never regretted spending. She is a solid teacher - thorough, delivering everything in bite-sized chunks, always pointing out where you might get tripped up. Amy's classes made ME a better teacher.

I joined Digital Course Academy (DCA) in September 2024, fully committed to the process. I dedicated 6–8 hours a day for nearly five months, genuinely believing this would be the roadmap to launching a successful course. Unfortunately, my experience with DCA did not match the marketing. The content felt repetitive, surface-level, and not suited for someone starting from scratch—as I was led to believe. It seemed more geared toward people with an existing audience, product, and business foundation. Toward the end, of DCA we were encouraged to join the Momentum Membership for an additional $970/year, which was positioned as a necessary next step to ensure success. After another month fully committed to the process & resources provided, it was apparent that the content offered was not appropriate or sufficient in leading me towards my goals. When I reached out to express my concerns and request a partial refund for the unused portion of the year, the response felt impersonal and dismissive. I was told how to access the materials (which I was already using) and was essentially told that I hadn’t engaged deeply enough—despite significant time and effort already invested. What was most disappointing was how different the experience felt from what was originally promised. I expected strategic guidance, mentorship, and personalized support, but instead felt like I was on my own. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision before investing a lot of time & money into something that does not deliver the intended results.

And even though I had some online business experience, it didn't take long to realize this course is big on overpromise and underdeliver. It is waaaaaaay harder to create your course, create your website, create your lead magnet and social media plan, and SELL any courses that she makes it seam. In fact, every single person who I know who joined did not make their money back. Not a single person. Don't get me wrong, there are many valuable tidbits here and there, but the overall promise is way too high. And it comes with many other things you need and as I found out later, Amy is an affiliate for. So you double pay her. In sum, don't do this. Look for a 1 on 1 business coach, not someone who tends to the masses and just gets richer and richer.

Technical errors, no fulfillment of what they are promising—I hope more people check first before they buy, this is a SCAM. I found her on Anthony O'Neil's platform, and I do feel like if he is associating with these kinds of people, he is probably a scammer too, but I'm not sure. I will say this: no replays, because the content is shit, and she is always on time, offline the way she presented it. I told the People to go and check Trustpilot, there is nothing worse, than working in marketing, and promissing stuff you are not keeping, and telling the audience, you are a woman of your word. No. It´s not worth it, 90 % of the time she is talking about how you can price workshops, she is showing her students, but she is marketing this course that you can start and at the end you would have something you can share. It´s not that, most of the things she talked about where repetitive and surfacelevel. She is nice and pretty but super all over the place, the Course are are not worth the 100 bucks she asked for. She said also you can get the money back, no questions asked. I wanted to get my money back on day 4 of her course; they said the deadline was 2 days ago. How is that even legal? The website is not loading. Amy totally made herself a fool because it would not work in her session. It is insane how she is keeping this thing up. I´m not saying she is a bad person, but the time pressure she is putting people under and the "buy quick" approach in that little time just show she knows what she is doing. Her whole body language is uncomfortable, probably because she know she is doing some dirt. I'm super disappointed. Anyway, I do not recommend it. I told 4 friends of mine to buy this mess. I´m super upset; they are too, and i will make them write a review here as well, since I have gotten kicked out of the Zoom meeting I PAID FOR AND NOT GETTING MY MONEY BACK.

To be clear, DCA is partly about how to create course content and partly about marketing and selling your course using email marketing funnels, webinars and scarcity/urgency tactics. I've since learnt that so much of Amy Porterfield's tactics are the same as (if not based on) Russell Brunson's work, who openly boasts marketing tactics based on Cult Psychology and propaganda. She has also had him on her podcast. From an ethical point of view, I'm not OK with this approach. You need to be willing to copy her exactly and spend a lot of time doing social media marketing and newsletters, this is a business model that felt like a recipe for burnout. I tried to give this course an earnest go, but it wasn't sustainable. I also think that people are tired of being bombarded with emails. I hate being on the receiving end of them myself. If you don't already have a relatively good understanding of how to use social media, websites, newsletters, apps like Canva, etc, you will struggle. A lot of people who joined my cohort didn't already have basic social media marketing skills and felt overwhelmed and left behind. In 2024 Amy launched a "Start from Scratch" pathway which made it sound like beginners would be just fine on DCA, but they don't teach you how to use the tools. They just tell you to build a mailing list (with regular social media content) and a workshop. You should know that the FB groups are closed after the initial live period (I think it was 3 months?) and support is very limited, you can pose questions in that time and Amy might address it in the Q&As but there are too many people for her to address all. Lots of people started accountability groups together, including me, but mine didn't last for long because people were lost. You are invited to sign up for the Momentum membership for ongoing support but who knows how much support you actually get. For those who are already confident with social media, newsletters etc, the course content is really overly simple and I found there was nothing new to learn. The topics include things like defining your course topic, client avatar, transformation statement, pricing, launch date. You are also taught how to use AI a lot - she says for help with ideas and structure only, not the actual content. I don't like AI, but I did try it using her prompts and to be honest ChatGPT probably could have coached me through the whole process without the need for DCA. After one year I was emailed and informed that the course bonuses were being deleted from our library, so not everything is lifetime access. I feel the need to balance my review by saying, I don't have a problem with the way the course is priced. I understand consumer psychology, people have a tendency to appreciate things they invest more money in and I am happy to invest money in things I value. I was also not naive, of course she is suggesting partners and platforms which she is an affiliate for. But I didn't learn anything, it's just a step-by-step formula to sell courses in the same way she does (ie. with a lot of hype) and my ethics don't agree with her approach.
