Day Trading Mentorship: 7 Top Mentors Ranked (2026)

Author: Emily CarterEmily Carter17 min readOct 20, 2026

Most people searching for a day trading mentorship have already watched the free videos and now want someone to look at their actual trades. If you want to take day trading to the next step, these are the first places to check, with students’ reviews next to each one. Below, I narrowed it down to seven day trading mentorship options and sorted out who offers real mentoring, who only sells lessons, what each costs and which red flags to watch for.

How we built this guide: AllPros does not buy or complete the programs it covers. Ratings, review counts, prices and features come from each program's AllPros listing as of October 20, 2026, and every study or rule links to its original source. This is education, not financial advice.

Day Trading Mentorship Compared: 7 Options at a Glance

Only three of the seven day trading mentorship options list direct mentor access: GRIT Trading Academy, Bear Bull Traders and Warrior Pro. The rest are courses, an indicator subscription or a student Discord.

What Is a Day Trading Mentorship (and What It Is Not)?

A day trading mentorship is ongoing, two-way coaching from an experienced trader who reviews your plan, your trades and your risk. A course sells you lessons once, and a signal service sells you someone else's entries.

Warrior Trading describes its mentor sessions as time where mentors discuss current market conditions, answer questions and review their trades and metrics, and it asks attendees to bring their own metrics and questions. GRIT Trading Academy's listing says students get practical tasks with feedback on submitted work. Bear Bull Traders lists a TradeBook for reviewing your own trades. Those are the features that make mentoring trading different from watching videos: someone looks at what you did.

Whether a seller calls it a day trading coach, a trader mentor or trade mentoring, the label tells you nothing. The features list does. Look for three things: feedback on your actual trades, a person you can ask, and a schedule you can count on. The SEC adds a warning that day trading seminars, classes and books may not be objective, so find out whether the seller profits if you start trading.

How to Find a Trading Mentor in 4 Steps

How to Find a Trading Mentor in 4 Steps

To find a trading mentor, pick your market first, then compare what each program actually provides: live calls, trade review or only a chat room. Check track-record claims against something you can verify, and read the critical reviews before the five-star ones.

    1. Pick the market. Stocks, futures, forex and options need different skills. Warrior Pro focuses on small-cap stocks, Futures One on futures and Forex University on currency pairs, according to their listings.
    2. Read the features list, not the sales page. Count live sessions per week, ask who reviews your trades, and confirm which price tier includes the mentoring.
    3. Verify track-record claims. Logan says he has more than $200,000 in verified payouts, and AllPros flags that as the instructor's own claim that is not independently verified on the page. The Warrior Pro listing notes that Ross Cameron's own results "are not typical."
    4. Check registration where it applies. The SEC's Investment Professional Background Check shows whether a person or firm is registered with the SEC, a state or FINRA, and whether they have a disciplinary history. Many educators will not appear in it, so use it when someone offers personal advice or to manage money.

If you are still deciding whether to trade at all, read our guide on how to start day trading first. It covers the 2026 account rules and real costs that any mentor will assume you already know.

A trading mentor online is the norm, not the exception. According to their AllPros listings, all seven options here are delivered online, so a trading mentor near me or a day trading mentor near me search will mostly point you to remote programs. For trading mentors in the UK, Archie Spencer's GRIT Trading Academy is the one listed with an England base.

The 7 Best Day Trading Mentors and Programs, Reviewed

The seven below are ordered by AllPros rating, then by number of reviews, from Archie Spencer's GRIT (4.7 from 40 reviews) to Big Daddy Max's Futures One (4.6 from 17). Each entry says what you get, what it costs and who should skip it.

    1. Archie Spencer: GRIT Trading Academy (4.7 from 40 reviews)

Archie Spencer runs a one-year program with the closest thing to a classic mentor relationship on this list. According to its listing, GRIT teaches nine modules in a fixed order, locks each module behind a test and ends with the student's own written trading plan. It lists 1-to-1 mentoring, live calls Monday to Thursday and a weekly macro outlook, and it says it sells no signals or copy trading. The price is $3,000 to $5,000 per year, paid after a free call.

Spencer came to trading from a plumbing apprenticeship, traded on technical analysis alone for four years and earned an Ofqual-regulated Level 5 diploma in applied financial trading in June 2026. Of 40 reviews, 27 are five-star and 13 are four-star. None of the 40 reviews is below four stars. Reviews mention gold (XAU) and currency pairs, so it works as a forex trading mentorship even though the listing tags stocks, futures, options and crypto.

Skip it if you want trade alerts or have less than $3,000 to spend.

    2. Forex University: Beginner Program (4.7 from 17 reviews)

Forex University is the only forex-specific option here, and it is a course, not a mentor. The Beginner Program bundles two self-paced courses: a Fast Track course with six modules and 30+ written chapters, and a longer course with six modules, 60+ chapters, interactive forex simulations and audio summaries. Access is lifetime, payment is one-time and a 30-day money-back guarantee applies. AllPros does not list a price, and the certificate is not accredited.

The listing says it is not for traders looking for live sessions, mentorship or a community. Of 17 reviews, 12 are five-star and 5 are four-star. If you want a mentor for forex trading, treat this as the foundation you finish first, because a forex trader mentor can do far more with a student who already knows pairs, spreads and leverage.

Skip it if you want a person to review your trades.

    3. Logan: CSO Trading Course (4.7 from 16 reviews)

Logan sells a rules-based course, not a mentorship. The CSO Trading Course ($1,250 one-time, lifetime access, 76 video lessons) teaches a momentum breakout system built on key pivot levels, inspired by opening range breakout ideas, across the New York, London and Asia sessions and across futures, equities and options. The second half is a risk framework that uses automated tools to trail positions by preset rules. The listing names no live calls or mentor access and says the course is not for gamblers or signal chasers.

Logan, a Marine Corps veteran, says he has more than $200,000 in verified payouts. Treat that as marketing until you see statements. Of 16 reviews, 12 are five-star, 3 are four-star and 1 is three-star.

Best for futures traders who want a fixed rulebook with preset exits.

    4. Trust My Levels: TML University Bat Signals (4.7 from 15 reviews)

Trust My Levels runs TML University, and Bat Signals is its invite-only TradingView indicator for index futures and index ETF options. It shows four long and short signals on the chart when the framework's conditions line up, covers NQ/QQQ, ES/SPX/SPY, RTY/IWM and YM/DIA, and comes with a Discord for alerts and Q&A. It costs $147 a month and can be cancelled anytime. The page says it is not for stock pickers, crypto traders or anyone hunting for a magic button.

This is a tool plus a chat room. It tells you when conditions line up, and it does not explain why you keep exiting early. The listing shows 15 reviews: 10 five-star and 5 four-star.

Best for traders who already have a plan and want a chart overlay. Pair it with a mentor if you do not.

    5. Andrew Aziz: Bear Bull Traders (4.6 from 38 reviews)

Andrew Aziz, author of the book How to Day Trade for a Living, built Bear Bull Traders around a five-step path: platform setup, then setups, entries, exits and risk, then trading psychology, then a TradeBook for reviewing your own trades, and finally ongoing mentorship. Per the listing, new members join a live onboarding class every Monday, weekly webinars cover technical and psychological topics, and the chatroom has 28,000+ active traders and moderators. More than 100 hours of courses are on demand, and a 7-day free trial includes the chatroom, the day trading and options courses and the Monday class.

Pricing is Elite at $99 a month billed annually, Career at $3,999 one-time, or Inner Circle at $6,999 one-time. Of 38 reviews, 23 are five-star and 15 are four-star. The listing also records customer feedback, with an unclear source and date, that the content suits beginners better than experienced traders and is mostly theory and basic concepts.

Best for beginners who want a structured stock trading mentorship program with trade review and a large community. Skip it if you are already consistently profitable.

    6. Ross Cameron: Warrior Pro Special (4.6 from 36 reviews)

Ross Cameron founded Warrior Trading and teaches a small-cap momentum style. Warrior Pro Special bundles 10 courses and 200+ hours of video, a live stream where Ross trades in front of members, a chat room and a simulator with live market data. It is listed at $3,997 with a 7-day money-back guarantee, and the listing cites $2,997 for the Pro tier.

On mentoring, read the fine print. Warrior's own page says mentoring is available only with a Live Stream + Chat subscription. It describes the Warrior Trading mentors and admins as traders who learned from Ross, developed their own styles and proved profitability through Warrior's badge system, and who host live and recorded sessions to discuss markets, answer questions and review their trades. Mentoring also includes two trading psychology coaches with counseling credentials. As described, that is a hosted-session model rather than a one-to-one program, and it is the closest thing to a Warrior Trading mentorship you can buy.

Of 36 reviews, 25 are five-star, 9 are four-star, one is two-star and one is one-star. The one-star reviewer felt they had paid for what Ross already shows free on YouTube, and another reviewer concluded after using the simulator that small-cap momentum was not their style.

Best for beginners who want to watch live trading and practice on a simulator first.

    7. Big Daddy Max: Futures One (4.6 from 17 reviews)

Big Daddy Max teaches scalping and options selling through Max Options Trading. Futures One ($3,250 one-time, lifetime access) combines two styles in 59 video lessons and 20+ hours: Max's simple scalping setups and co-instructor Antonio Lama's P2P strategy, which pairs Fibonacci retracements with ICT principles. It also includes recorded live trading, trade recaps, psychology calls, 9+ hours on covered calls and cash-secured puts, and a student Discord where members review trades together.

The listing says it is not for people looking for live mentorship or signals, or for buyers on a tight budget, so think of it as a futures trading coach in course form. Of 17 reviews, 10 are five-star and 7 are four-star. The wider Max Options Trading brand is listed separately at 4.0 from 9 reviews and mentions a free Discord, daily live trading sessions and paid coaching.

Best for beginners who want two defined futures strategies and an options-income add-on.

Who Is the Best Mentor for Day Trading? Pick by Your Situation

There is no single best mentor for day trading, because the right fit depends on your market, budget and how much feedback you want. For direct feedback, GRIT Trading Academy and Bear Bull Traders list the most mentor access among these seven.

How Much Does a Day Trading Mentor Cost?

A day trading mentor costs anywhere from $147 a month for an indicator and Discord to $6,999 one-time for the top Bear Bull tier, based on the seven AllPros listings. One-year 1-to-1 mentoring at GRIT runs $3,000 to $5,000.

Price does not track mentoring. The $1,250 CSO course lists no mentor access, while the $147-a-month Bat Signals gives you a chat room, not a coach. Before paying for any tier, confirm that it includes the mentoring you want: Warrior's page says mentoring requires a Live Stream + Chat subscription. Bear Bull's 7-day free trial is the cheapest way on this list to see a chatroom and onboarding class before you commit.

Is Day Trading Mentorship Worth It? What the Research Says

Day trading mentorship can be worth the money if it gives you feedback you cannot get alone, but no study we found shows that a mentor makes you profitable. The research on day trading itself is harsh, and 97% of Brazilian day traders who kept going for more than 300 days lost money.

    StudyMarket and periodFinding
Chague, De-Losso and GiovannettiBrazilian equity futures, traders who began in 2013 to 201597% of those who traded more than 300 days lost money, and 1.1% earned more than the Brazilian minimum wage
Barber, Lee, Liu and OdeanTaiwan Stock ExchangeFewer than 1% of day traders (about 1,000 of roughly 360,000 a year) earned reliably positive returns after costs
SEC investor guidanceUnited StatesDay traders typically suffer severe financial losses in their first months, and many never become profitable

Swipe sideways to see all columns

None of these studies measures what a mentor changes, and they cover futures in Brazil and stocks in Taiwan, not the U.S. rules that took effect in 2026. What mentorship can realistically change is process: which setups you take, how you size risk and whether you follow a written plan. It cannot promise profit, and the AllPros listings note that reviewer results are individual experiences and not typical. A fair rule: pay for feedback and structure, and keep the program fee plus your trading capital inside an amount you can afford to lose.

Is It True That 97% of Day Traders Lose Money?

Not exactly. The 97% figure applies to people who kept day trading Brazilian equity futures for more than 300 days between 2013 and 2015, so it describes persistent traders in one market, not every day trader everywhere. The wider evidence still points the same way: the Taiwan study found fewer than 1% were reliably profitable after costs.

Technical Indicators for Day Trading: What a Mentor Should Teach

A good day trading mentor teaches technical indicators as context for a written plan, not as a button that prints entries. Ask any mentor which indicators they use, why, and what happens to the trade when the indicator is wrong.

On this list, GRIT gives indicators their own module and teaches macro data first, so technical analysis only times the entry. Warrior's course covers fundamental and technical analysis plus Level 2 and time and sales. Bat Signals is itself an indicator, and its page warns it is not for anyone hunting a magic button. CSO builds everything on pivot levels. The tools differ, but the test is the same: if a mentor cannot explain the exit rule, the indicator is decoration. The Brazilian study's authors concluded it is virtually impossible for individuals to day trade for a living, and no indicator removes that risk.

Red Flags When Choosing a Trader Mentor

Walk away from a mentor trader who guarantees returns, shows only winners or will not say what you get for the price. The SEC's advice is to find out whether the seller profits if you start day trading.

    • Lifestyle as the pitch. FINRA Foundation research found that 61% of investors aged 18 to 34 made an investment decision based on a social media personality. Finfluencer followers answered about 42% of knowledge questions correctly while 63% rated their own knowledge as high, and among those targeted by fraud, 69% of followers lost money versus 26% of non-followers.
    • Proof you cannot check. A payout screenshot shows one withdrawal. Ask for statements, as with Logan's $200,000 claim, which AllPros flags as unverified.
    • A vague deliverable. If a seller cannot say how many live sessions you get, who reviews your trades and how fast they answer, you are buying a brand, not mentoring.
    • A hidden tier. Warrior's mentoring sits behind a specific subscription, so confirm the exact tier before you pay for any trading mentorship program.

What Changed in 2026 That Every Day Trading Mentor Should Know

The $25,000 pattern day trader minimum no longer applies under FINRA's new intraday margin rules, which take effect June 4, 2026. FINRA says $2,000 is the minimum equity for leveraged trading, and accounts below that can trade only with cash on hand.

Some brokers have a transition period through October 20, 2027, so ask yours which rules apply to you. A mentor who still teaches pattern day trader workarounds is teaching last year's problem, and that is a quick way to spot an outdated day trading mentorship.

Other Names in Trading Mentor Searches

Searches for trading mentors also surface SimplerOptions, Warrior Trading and Bear Bull Traders. AllPros has verified-review pages for the last two. As of October 20, 2026 we have no SimplerOptions page, so we cannot compare its student reviews.

Interactive Brokers describes Simpler Options as an options education service delivered through online classes, video newsletters and a live trading room. If you shortlist it, apply the checklist below. The AllPros day trading page lists more stock trading experts and day trading experts to compare.

Choosing Your Day Trading Mentorship: A Short Checklist

    • Pick your market first: stocks, futures, forex or options
    • Find the features list and confirm which tier includes mentoring
    • Ask who reviews your trades and how often
    • Read the one-, two- and three-star reviews before the five-star ones
    • Check any payout or track-record claim against statements you can verify
    • Keep the program fee plus trading capital inside what you can afford to lose

    Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Day Trading Mentorship: 7 Top Mentors Ranked (2026).

Is day trading mentorship worth it?

It can be, if it gives you feedback on your own trades that you cannot get alone. No study we found shows a mentor makes you profitable, and 97% of Brazilian day traders who kept going for more than 300 days lost money. Pay for feedback and structure, and only risk money you can afford to lose.

How do I get a mentor for day trading?

Pick your market first, then compare what each program actually provides: live calls, trade review or only a chat room. Confirm which price tier includes mentoring, verify any track-record claims, and read the critical reviews before the five-star ones.

Who is the best mentor for day trading?

There is no single best mentor, because it depends on your market, budget and how much feedback you want. Among the seven compared, GRIT Trading Academy (Archie Spencer) and Bear Bull Traders (Andrew Aziz) list the most direct mentor access, and Warrior Pro offers mentor sessions in its Live Stream + Chat tier.

How much does a day trading mentor cost?

From $147 a month for an indicator plus Discord (Bat Signals) up to $6,999 one-time for the top Bear Bull Traders tier. One-year 1-to-1 mentoring at GRIT Trading Academy runs $3,000 to $5,000. Price does not track mentoring, so check what each tier includes.

Is it true that 97% of day traders lose money?

Not exactly. The 97% figure comes from a study of people who kept day trading Brazilian equity futures for more than 300 days between 2013 and 2015. A Taiwan study also found fewer than 1% of day traders were reliably profitable after costs, so the wider evidence points the same way.
