AllPros Score calculation
The AllPros Score is calculated on a scale from 1 to 5. It isn't a simple average of every review on the page. The formula weighs three factors so the score reflects what students are experiencing right now:
Time span: Newer reviews carry more weight than older ones. A recent review tells you more about a creator's current quality than one from two years ago.
Frequency: Because recent reviews carry more weight, a score stays most stable when reviews come in regularly. Whether a creator actively asks students for reviews affects how steady the score is.
Stabilizer: To make sure every creator starts with a fair, balanced score, the weighted average includes a set of neutral seed reviews in the calculation. This has less and less effect as real reviews accumulate.
A few things have no impact on the calculation:
Review source. The calculation doesn't distinguish between reviews left after AllPros reached out and reviews a student left on their own. Source doesn't change the weight.
Creator category. The calculation is the same for every creator, regardless of niche, and regardless of whether the creator pays for a AllPros plan. No paid placement changes the math, ever.
For creators under a set review threshold, the score recalculates immediately after each new review. Past that threshold, it recalculates once a day, since the score moves less at that volume anyway.
From AllPros Score to star rating
After the calculation, the AllPros Score is visualized as a star rating from 1 to 5, including half stars. Standard rounding rules apply, so the star rating rounds up or down to the nearest half or full star.

A creator's AllPros Score sits at the top of their profile page on AllPros.
What happens if a student reviews a creator multiple times?
Students can leave more than one review if they had separate, distinct experiences with a creator, for example different cohorts or different programs. AllPros only counts a student's most recent review of that specific experience in the score calculation.
Every review stays visible on the profile, so future students can see the full history, and creators can respond to each one individually. This keeps the score current while still showing the complete picture.
Collecting reviews and the AllPros Score
Creators can invite students to leave reviews through a few methods, including direct invitations or sharing a link to their AllPros page, as long as reviews are collected fairly and in line with AllPros' guidelines.
Inviting reviews regularly helps a creator hear from a wider range of students and gives a fuller picture of the student experience. Structured invitations also help, linking reviews to actual enrollments, creating a clear trail, and making it easier for students to leave feedback in the first place.
Collecting reviews doesn't guarantee any particular score. A creator's AllPros Score reflects what their students actually shared, over time, nothing more.
