Who Is Steven Spencer?

Steven Spencer is a professional short term trader and the co-founder of SMB Capital, a proprietary trading firm based in Midtown Manhattan. He earned a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and later completed a JD at Fordham University School of Law while trading full time. Spencer began his trading career in 1996 at Heartland Securities, a Nasdaq day trading firm in New York, where he spent several years as one of the firm's top and most consistently profitable traders. He also worked as a senior trader at Trillium during this period, building a track record trading momentum and short term setups through multiple market cycles.
