The Millionaire Challenge is Timothy Sykes' flagship penny stock trading program, combining an application-gated entry process with ongoing access to a live trading chatroom rather than a fixed, self-contained course.
- Focused specifically on penny stocks and short-term trading, not broader market investing
- Enrollment starts with an application, with third-party reports describing a phone screening about the applicant's financial situation before acceptance
- Includes ongoing access to the Profit.ly chatroom for live trading discussion and analysis
- Builds on Sykes' broader course library (courses like PennyStocking, TimFundamentals, TimTactics, and ShortStocking), rather than a single standalone curriculum
- No public syllabus, module breakdown, or session schedule is disclosed on the official page itself

“Honestly, this is what got me seriously into trading”
5/5
I found Tim Sykes when I was pretty new to trading, and at that point I was basically watching anything I could find online. I was watching YouTube videos, reading random posts and trying to understand why some stocks would suddenly move like crazy while others did absolutely nothing. I knew I wanted to learn, but I honestly had no idea what I was doing.
What I liked about Tim was that he gave me something specific to focus on. I started learning about penny stocks, catalysts, volume, momentum and different types of setups instead of trying to learn everything about the stock market at the same time. That made a huge difference for me because before that I was just jumping from one topic to another.
There is a crazy amount of content in the program. Like, way more than I expected. At first I thought I was going to go through everything in order, but that definitely didn't happen. There are so many videos, webinars, lessons and examples that you have to figure out what is actually useful for you. Some of the older webinars are also really long, and I definitely had moments where I was like, "Do I really need to watch another two hours of this?" lol.
But honestly, I ended up liking the amount of older material more than I expected. Being able to go back and see old trades and different situations was actually pretty interesting. Instead of just hearing someone explain a strategy in a perfect example, I could see how things actually played out and compare different trades. Sometimes I would watch something and not really understand it, then come back to it later after I had more experience and suddenly it made way more sense.
The biggest thing I got from the program wasn't one specific setup or some secret strategy. It was more the whole idea of actually studying trading. Before this, I thought a lot more about finding the right stock or figuring out the perfect entry. Over time I started paying more attention to catalysts, volume, what happened before the move, what could go wrong and why I was even taking the trade in the first place.
I also started keeping track of my trades and reviewing them more seriously. There were definitely times where I made stupid mistakes and then realized later that I had actually seen the same pattern before. Having all the examples and lessons available made it easier to go back and look for things I was doing wrong.
I also really liked that the program doesn't make trading sound like something you can just learn in a weekend. At least from my experience, the more I learned, the more I realized how much I still didn't know. There were definitely things I disagreed with or didn't find useful, but I actually think it's good that you have enough material to form your own opinion instead of just copying everything someone says.
Obviously, there are downsides. The amount of content can be overwhelming, especially when you're new. Some of the material is old, some videos are really long, and you definitely have to be willing to search around and figure out what you want to watch. I wouldn't expect someone to just sign up and have everything magically organized for them.
And I definitely wouldn't tell someone that paying for the program means they're going to become profitable. It doesn't work like that. I still had to spend a ton of time studying, watching the market, making mistakes and figuring out what actually made sense for me. There were plenty of times when I lost money even though I had already watched a bunch of lessons about the exact type of thing I was doing.
For me, though, the program was worth it because it gave me a direction. Before finding Tim, I was basically consuming random trading content with no real plan. After joining, I had specific things I wanted to learn and study. I eventually stopped trying to copy Tim and started figuring out what worked for me, but I still think his material played a big part in getting me to that point.
So yeah, it's definitely not perfect, and I can understand why some people don't like it. But personally, I got way more out of it than I expected when I first joined. If you're actually willing to sit down, study, review your mistakes and put in the screen time, there's a lot here.

“This was what finally made trading start to make sense”
4/5
I found Tim Sykes when I was completely new to trading, and his content was one of the first things that actually helped me understand what I was looking at. Before that, I honestly had no idea where to start. Focusing on penny stocks, catalysts, volume and momentum gave me something specific to study instead of trying to learn every type of trading at once.
What I liked most was how much emphasis there is on preparation. I used to think trading was mostly about finding a good stock and knowing when to buy. The program made me realize how much work goes into studying past trades, reviewing mistakes and understanding why a setup worked or didn’t.
The course definitely has its problems. There’s a lot of older material, and some of the videos are way longer than they need to be. You also have to figure out how to organize everything yourself because there’s so much content.
I also think you have to have realistic expectations. You’re not paying for someone to hand you profitable trades. You’re getting access to a lot of his experience, examples and educational material, but you still have to put in the work yourself.
For me, it was a really good starting point. I eventually developed my own way of trading instead of trying to copy Tim, but the program definitely helped me take trading more seriously and gave me a direction when I had no idea where to start.

“I learned some things, but I did most of the figuring out myself”
5/5
I started following Tim because I kept seeing his stuff everywhere. At the time I was really trying to learn trading, and I liked that he talked about studying, reviewing trades and actually putting in the work instead of making trading sound easy.
Once I got into the program, I had mixed feelings. There is a ton of content, and some of it is really useful. I took a lot from certain lessons and liked seeing how Tim thinks about different stocks and setups.
The problem is that there’s just so much of it. Some videos were really long, and I ended up skipping a lot of sections because they weren’t really relevant to what I was trying to learn at the time. I also found myself using other resources alongside the program pretty often.
I don’t think the program made me a profitable trader by itself. Most of my progress came from actually trading, making mistakes and slowly figuring out what works for me. The course helped me understand some of the basics and gave me a better idea of how Tim approaches trading, but there was still a lot I had to figure out on my own.
I’m glad I found Tim and I definitely learned from the program. I just don’t know if I’d pay the same amount for it again now that I know how much of the learning comes from actually doing it yourself.

“I really wanted to like it, but I couldn’t justify the price”
1/5
I went into Tim Sykes’ program pretty excited because I had already watched some of his content and thought I was finally going to have a proper place to learn everything in one spot.
There is a crazy amount of material, but honestly, I found it really hard to get through. Some of the webinars are extremely long, and I kept finding myself pausing them to look things up because I didn’t understand what was being talked about. After a while it felt like I was spending more time trying to figure out what I was supposed to learn than actually learning.
I also struggled with how much of the material felt old. I know trading concepts don’t completely change, but some of the videos and examples just didn’t feel very relevant to me anymore.
The price was probably the biggest problem. I paid thousands of dollars expecting something that would give me a clear foundation and show me where to start. Instead, I ended up using books, forums and other free resources just as much, if not more.
I will say that the program did get me more interested in trading and made me take it more seriously. So I don’t think it was completely useless.
But if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t pay that amount again. There’s a lot of information there, but I didn’t feel like I got enough out of it for what I paid.
